Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using MShelf, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
What MShelf is
MShelf is a catalog and collection platform for physical game collectors. It is not a marketplace, not a buyer or seller of games or collectibles, not a place to distribute pirated games or software, not a place to sell counterfeit items as authentic, and not an authentication or grading service.
Age requirement
MShelf is intended for users aged 16 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. Users under 16 are not permitted to create or use an account.
Accounts and Google sign-in
You can create or open an account with an email and password, or with Continue with Google, when those options are available. Using Continue with Google creates an MShelf account if you do not already have one, or signs you into an existing account. If you already have an MShelf account whose verified email matches your Google email, signing in with Google links that Google account to your existing MShelf account. Unverified email/password accounts are not auto-linked. Google’s terms also apply to your use of Google sign-in. You can stop using Google sign-in by deleting your MShelf account.
User responsibilities
- Content — you retain ownership of content you submit, including posts, comments, Collector Comments, replies, collection-related content, profile content, and photos you upload. You grant MShelf a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, format, distribute through MShelf features, moderate, back up, and technically process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate and provide MShelf. This license is connected to running the service; it is not a transfer of ownership. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permissions to submit, upload, or publish content through MShelf. You must not knowingly submit content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Your items — you are responsible for information you submit about your own physical items. Do not intentionally misrepresent counterfeit or reproduction items as authentic. You are responsible for complying with applicable law when using MShelf.
- Conduct — do not abuse the service, spam or flood the community, operate automated or bot accounts without authorization, harass or threaten others, impersonate anyone, distribute scams or malicious content, manipulate reactions or engagement, attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or account restrictions, abuse reporting or moderation systems, or use MShelf in violation of applicable law or our Community Guidelines.

Piracy, counterfeits, and prohibited use
You must not use MShelf to:
- Distribute pirated games or software
- Distribute unauthorized copies
- Promote or facilitate copyright infringement
- Sell or offer counterfeit games or collectibles as authentic
- Promote bootleg items as authentic
- Facilitate transactions involving illegal goods
- Facilitate other unlawful activity
This applies especially to activity that facilitates distribution, sale, promotion, or deception.
Users may discuss, document, or identify reproduction or non-original items for legitimate collecting, educational, or informational purposes — including spotting fakes, comparing authentic and reproduction items, documenting a bootleg or reproduction in a collection, or warning other collectors — provided the content does not facilitate their sale or distribution as authentic products.
Content moderation
MShelf may review reported content and take action when content or behavior violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Depending on the situation, we may:
- Review reported content
- Remove content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines
- Restrict access to specific features
- Temporarily suspend an account
- Permanently terminate an account in serious or repeated cases
Moderation decisions may consider severity, repetition, abuse patterns, security risk, impact on other users, and applicable legal requirements. We do not promise that every piece of content will be manually reviewed, and we do not manually verify every physical item described by users.
If we reasonably believe MShelf is being used to facilitate piracy, counterfeiting, fraud, copyright infringement, illegal transactions, or other prohibited activity, we may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts. For serious abuse or clear illegal activity, we may act immediately.
Authenticity and physical items
MShelf does not guarantee or certify the authenticity, condition, provenance, ownership, legitimacy, or completeness of physical items described by users. MShelf is a catalog and collection platform, not an authentication or grading service. Items in user collections and user-submitted descriptions associated with the public catalog are not verified by MShelf as authentic physical copies.
Service disclaimer
MShelf is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Account suspension and termination
We may take action when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these terms, protect MShelf or other users, or comply with the law.
Examples of situations that may lead to action include:
- Spam or flooding
- Automated or bot accounts
- Fraudulent activity
- Piracy or facilitating unauthorized copies
- Selling or promoting counterfeit items as authentic
- Harassment or threats
- Impersonation
- Malicious activity
- Attempts to bypass security controls, rate limits, or account restrictions
- Ban or suspension evasion
- Manipulation of reactions or engagement
- Violation of the Community Guidelines
- Violation of applicable law
- Activity that could harm the service or other users
Depending on the situation, we may:
- Remove content
- Restrict specific features
- Temporarily suspend an account
- Permanently terminate an account
For serious abuse, spam, fraud, piracy, counterfeiting, security threats, or automated activity, we may act immediately when needed to protect the service and community.
You may stop using MShelf at any time. You can also request account deletion from your profile settings when that option is available.
